Farm
June 09–16 2024

The third edition of Basel Social Club took  place June 9–16, 2024, across 50 hectares of farmland on the edge of Basel, extending into the surrounding countryside. For the first time, the event unfolded entirely in the open air, emphasizing environmental awareness and ecological engagement. Installations and performances by international and local artists are integrated into the rural landscape—among cow pastures, barns, fields, and forests. The program included site-responsive works, culinary offerings, and a range of performances, blending historical references with contemporary experimentation. Farm animals and agricultural activity become part of the experience, with local farmers actively hosting and participating. This edition marks a deepened commitment to sustainability and continues Basel Social Club’s mission of creating socially and artistically immersive spaces.
